Recently, the winter Olympics were showing and I had no time to watch any of it. I like to watch, and I am amazed at the discipline, determination, sacrifice and motivation of these athletes! There is always a story behind every athlete. A story of “why” they do what they do.
What makes you do what you do? What motivates you?
Are you listening to lies, and negative thoughts? Are you being rebellious, stubborn? Are you angry? Are you hurt?
Or are you trying to gain someone’s approval or attention? Is the reward worth doing what you do?
A special event is nice to loose some weight for, but what happens when you see the pictures and still aren’t pleased with your appearance. Or what if after the event you gain back all the weight you lost? Or what about all those quick fix diet plans, or even surgery for weight loss but the weight comes back?
As you spend some time thinking about these questions, remember this; motivation must be pure and true for the outcome to bring lasting fulfillment.
Join me as I introduce positive, pure, true motivation to my discipline. I want lasting fulfillment, not a quick fix…..don’t you?
