In the news and weather world, viewers know when the weather is gettin’ serious because meteorologist Garrett Lewis rolls up his sleeves. This is what comes to mind this morning as I struggle with mental focus and gettin’ serious with God. Instead of rolling up my sleeves, I close my eyes. If I cannot see the To Do List on my desk or the unfinished projects on my patio then, I am more able to focus. But nothing speaks serious, like giving orders! And because of my two page list I hear myself telling my creator;  “Lord, let me hear from you…and hurry up I got things to do!”

Where are you at today?…finding it hard to focus or telling God when and what to do!?

“Father, you created me for your glory…but did you know I was going to make you laugh this much!!? I know you find it humorous that I would be telling you when and what to do, I bet you even snorted on this one. Oh Lord I have so much to learn still, please keep me focused on you and your will for my life. Teach me to prioritize and how to manage well the hours in the day that you give me, so that I can get serious about spreading your good news. In Jesus name Amen.”
