I can’t seem to make my way out of the house these days. My patio has probably forgotten me. I know it looks like I’ve forgotten it. The unpredictable weather is to blame for my hibernation and has stolen my desire to open the door and step out. Even with a steaming mug of vanilla goodness in my hand, I end up in my living room reclining and rocking, cradled by velour or whatever it’s being called these days. It isn’t long after the last sip and spoken prayer, that I tilt that new chair way back, pull that quilted throw up under my chin and drift off. I have become Mrs. Chair Potato and now Hubs aka Mr. Couch potato and I fight over who gets the recliner as it feels much better than the old lumpy couch.
Ahhh the life we live after age fifty! Well, today I changed things up a little! It’s time for a change and Hubs is gonna love it! I put my outdoor bike on a stationary stand and now my living room is my open road! In the evenings now he can have that soft, comfy, warm, cradling ….recliner, cuz regardless of the weather I will be peddling. He deserves it anyways as he gets his exercise in during his lunch break. But… when I’m home alone …you know where I’ll be.
Join me….We have the freedom to make changes in our thoughts, speech and actions. When we decide to make a change others around us can benefit as well.
“Lord, get us up off the couch..the chair! May we keep our thoughts, words and actions honoring to you. Remind us daily to see right in front of us the opportunities we can use for change. In Jesus name Amen.”
Love it! My stationary bike is in the basement. The better to remind me that place needs a cleaning, too. Ha! There is also a bed down there. It’s quieter down there… hmm… 😉
