At this moment I am in a season of life that is uncomfortable. The Patio is a mess. The weather got hot, the plants were neglected, the pool was taken down, a storm moved in and blew lawn furniture around breaking several things. I started a new job, and the patio became a catch’all. So in order to relax and reflect out there during this upcoming fall season, I will have to throw some things away and clean up the rest. Keeping things inside the house and outside de-cluttered is so important to me. However, I have neglected to throw things away.
In the bible Ecclesiastes 3 says “there is a time for everything.” Part of verse 6 says “a time to keep and a time to throw away.”
When our minds and bodies become a catch’all, it’s time to throw those things away that are not beneficial. We tend to collect hurt feelings, until they are piled pretty high. Anger, can quickly build and take up space in our hearts. Looking down on others will fester and grow until it consumes our thinking.
Maybe you’re in a season today, where you need to de-clutter? If you are then, don’t hesitate….join me and throw it away!
