Have you ever asked yourself this question; should I or shouldn’t I?
This morning I asked myself this question as I looked out the window during a down pour, and noticed Hubs (thrown under the bus) left our water hose out in the middle of the yard. Judging by the pond that had formed either it had rained hard and long enough, or the water hose had been left on for several days un-noticed and created the mass body of water. Should I, go out there and check, or shouldn’t I ? It was lightning, thundering and pouring. Take a chance on getting zapped, or continue to rack up a water bill!?
As, I drove to work my mind took this a little deeper. My thinking based on the recent news stories circulating, involving harrowing child abuse and neglect incidents. Then turning these thoughts to my own parental abandonment issue, I can’t help but wish that this question actually went through each persons mind and given deep thought before cohabitation took place.
Yes you have the freedom and the right to do whatever you’d like. Just make sure you ask yourself first; should I or shouldn’t I ? Always keep in mind, you aren’t the only one affected by your choices.
I hope you’ll join me, leaving those days very far behind us when we may have asked the question, got a clear answer …but jumped anyway.
1 Corinthians 10:23“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
