Oh the mind is, a strange yet wonderful thing. Strange when a song get’s stuck in your head and keeps bouncing around all day long. Wonderful when the lyrics to that song inspire you to relate them to a totally separate path of thinking. And mostly wonderful if you can make the combination make sense! Those of you who don’t know the song I’m referring to it is titled “Something to Talk About” by Bonnie Raitt.
Wouldn’t it be divine, if we were talked about in regards to how we loved others? Or would it?
As in the lyrics to the song….”people are talking, talking bout people”…..the song describes how people can tell a certain couple love each other by their actions. Unbeknownst to the couple themselves, when they discover the rumors they decide to step it up a bit and really give people something to talk about.
Love is truly something to talk about!! Our actions towards our spouse alone, should merit the positive rumors of others. Our love in action should look like… something to talk about, smile about, and inspire others to put their love in action!
Romans 12:9-21 says a lot about love in action; love is being sincere, good, devoted, honoring another above yourself, zealous, hospitable, empathetic, sympathetic, not repaying evil for evil.
