Sitting in the still quiet of the morning requires one to stay awake. Adding a hot cup of wake-me-up while listening to the nighttime crickets lull their tunes as the morning breaks is a fine way to say good morning. Looking up and being eye witness to the amazing transformation in the sky, gives me goose-bumps. My quiet conversation with the Creator expressing my gratitude for another day, comes natural. Getting my mind to focus on HIM and not the million thoughts that run my brain like an freeway in Cali is not so natural. But once HE and I begin, our reunion takes precedence over everything else.
Not every morning starts this way. Weather, missed alarms and laziness can deter ones best intentions to greet the day and the Creator, with cup in hand, from the patio.
Do I think everyone must start their day this way…pretty much. (grin)
