As I drive towards home I look out over the hot summer haze that lingers over the nearby Oklahoma hills. I am deeply grateful for the air conditioning in my car and my home. Summer in the Southwest does tend to have a sizzle.

Besides a/c our car has a phone feature that I have thanked the good Lord for everyday. This sizzling feature offers me the luxury of extra time to talk to friends. I need to let them know I am thinking of them and praying for them. At times I use it to make quick calls, that if I wait to text or call later, I will forget what I needed to say. This happens at my age!

Taking advantage of every extra minute to connect, build, restore or vent is vital in friendship.
