Watching the morning appear from a patio chair transforms my perspective. Light less humid comfortable air saturates my skin as my eyes take in all the way to my soul a sky colored with vivid pink, purple and orange. Clouds hang in preparation for the days predicted precipitation. As I talk to God, I pause to listen. The excited tweets are filling the morning with song. It reminds me of the talking and laughter I shared briefly last night with a sweet sister.
It’s in those brief moments we transform our friendship. We talk a lot and talk fast, we cover ten different subjects, laugh like crazy then part uplifted.
There have been seasons where we’ve had more time to spend together, but those brief chats are a treasure. Without her prayers, ears, and hugs I’d be empty. So much about us is different, and we usually move in different circles, but our love for Jesus is our common strong bond. This love transforms our friendship, makes it sweeter, stronger.
Are your friendships broken? Do the need a bond that weathers the seasons of life? Share your love for Jesus with a friend and transform your friendship!
