Two nights have passed without a walk. I am actually having withdrawals. My body and mind are literally telling me they need it!
I had a busy schedule, bible study one night and Gbaby duty the next.
What I didn’t see until today was that I had two opportunities both days to get some kind exercise. Would it have been a perfect setting? No, but it was do-able. But you see I had already made my mind up, in the morning when I looked over my schedule that there was no “good time” to get in a walk. Another lie that Satan whispered and I listened to, or just my rebel way of saying “if I can’t exercise how and when I want then I won’t”?? Either way I didn’t get any exercise.
I heard recently that movement is movement, so get moving. We don’t have to be in the latest community exercise fad, or join an expensive gym (that we never visit). Movement, extra movement can happen without all of that, be creative. Plan movement on purpose.
The recliner calling our name after work, wouldn’t be so bad if we got up during commercials and jogged in place, or for those who can’t jog use one of those bike pedal machines and pedal.
Our schedules will always be full. The timing will never be right on. Daily there will arise situations that were not written on our To Do List. Almost daily someone we love will say something hurtful, or a co-worker will rub us the wrong way.
Are we going to listen to lies, or be a rebel? Or are we going to look for those opportunities in our busy schedules to move!
I need to hear this. I often think I am too busy to exercise as I sit in my recliner.
