What Do King David, Neil Sedaka and backyard tweets have in common?
As the oldies song goes, by Neil Sedaka “Breaking up is hard to do.” For us almost 50er’s we remember this tune.
The tunes of my backyard tweets do not sound like Neil. But it’s possible they could be singing a break up song.
King David’s songs are called Psalms. In his lyrics he boasts of Gods enduring love and faithfulness.
While I enjoy singing along with Neil’s catchy old song, the break up walk for me down memory lane, doesn’t bring to mind enjoyable memories. My backyard tweets are enjoyable to listen too, however when I want to sleep in on a Saturday their tunes are not enjoyable.
I enjoy reading the book of Psalms where David writes songs and sings about Gods enduring love and faithfulness.
In my relationship experiences on this earth I’ve not known either. There were times I thought I had both, only to be involved in a messy break up. What David writes about is a true love that lasts forever. This to me is enjoyable and something to sing about!
King David, Neil and the backyard tweets have a song to sing.
