Mornings after days of heavy rains leave the patio cushions too wet for sitting. From inside this morning, I look out the window and wonder. What will this day bring? Will the rain, thunder and lightning continue?
I so enjoy a good storm. It is cool to see the zap of lighting across a stormy sky. I can see God’s majesty while the clouds push around with force, and the deep boom and roll of thunder shake the earth.
Reading Psalm 97 this morning. It talks about a joyful celebration of the Lord’s righteous reign over all the earth. Reflecting on Verse 3 “Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side”. I pray for fire this morning, that our enemy satan will be consumed. I’m also thanking God that I am not his enemy. I tremble at his majesty and rejoice for his glory. I will not worship images or boast in idols. Verse 10 “Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers then from the hand of the wicked”.
As I pray this for myself this morning, I pray it for you.
Are You HIS Friend or Foe?
